Your highlight film is the cinematic essence of the day — the most emotional three to six minutes, edited to licensed music, made to be watched again and again and shared with family far away. The full film is the complete record: your ceremony and speeches in full, edited cleanly so nothing is lost. Many couples choose both — the highlight for sharing, the full film for keeping — and your package can be built around either or both.
Yes — and we strongly recommend one. An engagement session is a relaxed shoot, usually a month or two before the wedding, at a location that means something to you. It is the perfect way to get comfortable in front of the camera before the wedding day, and the photographs are ideal for invitations, signage and your wedding website. Many couples tell us it made their wedding-day portraits feel effortless.
Beautifully — it is one of the things we prepare for most. We shoot with professional full-frame cameras and fast lenses designed for available light, and we carry discreet lighting for receptions when it is needed. During the ceremony itself we never use harsh flash; we work with the venue’s own light, whether that is candlelight in a historic church or string lights in a barn. If you are unsure about your venue’s lighting, we are happy to visit it with you beforehand.
Absolutely. Send us your must-have list before the wedding — the family groupings, the details you styled with care, any traditions that matter to your culture or faith — and we fold it into our coverage plan. For formal family portraits we ask for names alongside the groupings, which keeps things quick and organised. Beyond the list, we keep our eyes open for the unplanned moments you could never have listed.
We prepare for it and we photograph through it. Overcast skies give soft, flattering light that portraits love, and a light drizzle can make for some of the most romantic images of the day. We carry umbrellas, scout covered options at your venue in advance, and keep the timeline flexible. Alberta weather changes fast — we plan for the forecast, then make beautiful work out of whatever arrives.
Always. Every wedding is covered with backup cameras, lenses, batteries, memory cards and lighting, and we record to dual memory cards so no file exists in only one place. After the wedding your images are backed up redundantly through the entire editing process. Your wedding happens once — our kit is built so that a technical fault can never take a moment from you.
A 25% non-refundable deposit secures your date in our calendar — dates are reserved first-come, first-served, and popular Saturdays go early. The remaining balance and its timing are set out clearly in your written agreement before the wedding, so payment is one less thing to think about on the day. All pricing is in Canadian dollars, with no hidden fees.
